A very nice unassuming pub selling very well kept ales, mainly Theakstons, it's a stop off on the real ale trail but that doesn't detract from fact that it's a pub worth spending a few hours in.
For a place that sells whisky and Scottish ales, but they won't accept Scottish currency, what's all that about?
This pub deserves far more credit than it's getting on the ale trail. The owners are 100% devoted to perfectly curated beers, and are incredibly welcoming. I couldn't stay long enough to figure out if I could get a good dinner there, but i would have stayed if I l knew that in advance.
